“Always the photographer, never the groomsman” is finally coming to an end for me next year, as my good friend Alan asked me to be a part of his wedding party. He insisted on not having me photograph his wedding, but he definitely wanted me to do his engagement photos, so he, his fiance Krystal, and I went to Golden Gardens for some nice sunset beach photos. This also ended up being my first real portrait test for my new Nikon D810, Sigma 35mm f/1.4 ART lens, and Wescott IceLight, each of which performed wonderfully.
